FastOrange® B Broth is a concentrated culture medium which specifically detects beer spoiling bacteria in all stages of the brewing process from yeast to finished beer.
Lactic acid bacteria Lactobacilli and Pediococci as well as the anaerobes Pectinatus and Megasphaera are easily detected by a color change of the broth from violet to yellow.
Incubation time is 2-3 days with PCR and 3-7 days with visual evaluation.
If you need to enumerate or isolate colonies from your sample then FastOrange® B Agar gives you the benefit of the color change for easy detection whilst also enabling you to obtain colonies for counting or for further analysis. FastOrange® B Agar is specific for the analysis of beer spoilers like acid producing bacteria and Pediococci.
