FastOrange® B, available as broth and agar, specifically detects beer spoiling bacteria in all stages of the brewing process. All the typical beer spoilers, Lactobacillus and Pediococcus as well as the anaerobic Megasphaera and Pectinatus are easily detected by a color change from violet to yellow.
FastOrange® B was developed especially to discover microbial contaminations during the brewing process and in finished brewery products. All process samples can be easily analyzed with one single and simple method, following the one-for-all principle. It works from yeast samples through fermentation and tank samples up to finished beer.
All FastOrange® media are PCR certified and can be coupled with all real time PCR kits.
